AMY W.H. - INSTRUCTOR

Amy began practicing Romana (classic style) Mat and reformer Pilates in 2000 with Claire Bataille. She was certified in mat with Power Pilates in Evanston and served as a substitute instructor at the Pilates studios in Hubbard Street Dance.


In addition to Pilates, Amy is a certified yoga instructor who regularly engages in continuing education. Amy has owned and operated The Dance Gallery, Inc in Munster since 1991, where she has taught dance, Pilates mat, and yoga. Amy enjoys bringing a spirit of curiosity and humor to her classes.


Amy's  Classes include: Yoga/Pilates Fusion, Yoga. 


COURTNEY O. - INSTRUCTOR

With a Bachelor's in Nursing from Purdue, Courtney has been an RN for close to 20 years and has been honored to work in various nursing specialties, from adult psychiatry, oncology, med/surg, orthopedic surgery, and teaching CNAs. I found my passion for helping and caring for others in nursing.

Dee’s Pilates journey began many years ago in pursuit of keeping exercise, flexibility, and strength interesting and new. Her focus on movement and the goal of mastering movement, sequences, and functionality created a love of learning progressions and variations, always keeping her in a state of constant growth and development. As one who never seems to tire, the diverse movements in Pilates keep her from losing interest.

My name is Holly Bukvich, and I have a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Indiana State University. I've been working in the fitness industry as a personal trainer for over 15 years and have been a Certified Pilates Reformer Instructor for the past 13.

Katie began practicing Pilates more than 20 years ago.  As a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy, Polestar™️ Comprehensively trained Pilates for Rehabilitation Practitioner, Certified Athletic Trainer, and Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist, my clinical philosophy blends the intricacies of guided intentionality, mindfulness, and movement.

KARYN W. - INSTRUCTOR

Karyn has been a PMA-certified Pilates instructor for 16 years, and a practitioner for over 35 years. She attended The Articulate Eye Pilates Teacher Training Program in Rockville, MD, and is also Pink Ribbon Pilates-certified. In addition to working with healthy clients ages 10-90, she has worked with many conditions, including Parkinson’s & Alzheimer's Diseases, Arthritis, Spinal Fusions, Post Polio Syndrome, Joint Hypermobility, Endometriosis, Amputation, Obesity, Athletic Injury, Neurological Injury, Chronic Pain, Prenatal & Postnatal, & Breast Cancer. Karyn’s clients have included professional dancers, musicians, and athletes, as well as student dancers and athletes. 


Also a former professional dancer and history teacher, Karyn brings a keen eye for detail, creativity, and a passion for helping others live and feel better to her work.

LARA N. - INSTRUCTOR

As a Doctor of Physical Therapy, Lara is passionate about functionality-based approaches to movement and yoga practices to help promote injury prevention and continued activity with aging. Lara completed her 200-hour Yoga Alliance certification in Hatha yoga in 2018 while finishing her undergraduate degree in Fitness Management.


Lara has completed continued education in pelvic floor rehabilitation and manual therapy techniques. In Lara’s classes, you can expect a lot of flow movement, functionality, and great playlists!

Laura has been working in the field of movement and health for many years.  Laura completed her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, is a certified Intrinsic Health Coach, and is a Stott Pilates Certified Instructor.

Lisa Kawalec, the founder of RelationShift Coaching, is a mindfulness meditation instructor and dedicated practitioner. Her life’s mission is to bring as many people as possible to a greater sense of connection and belonging through developing regular, sustainable meditation and mindfulness practices. ​


With her playful passion for mindfulness meditation, Lisa motivates her clients to explore possibilities. She embodies the spirit of meditation through her true presence and graceful acceptance of each moment.
